Joint forces in South Kordofan State (Southern Sudan) managed to seize large quantities of weapons, ammunition and explosives in the city of Kadugli (the state capital), during a raid on some residential neighborhoods.
Brigadier General Abdullah Ahmed Abdoun, commander of the 55th Brigade, and head of the Kadugli Local Security Committee, said in a statement to the Sudan News Agency "SUNA" that the joint force seized a large number of weapons, ammunition and explosives, a quantity of drugs, strategic goods, and unregulated vehicles, and suspected persons were also arrested. They added that the security campaign helped extend the prestige of the state, the rule of law, and a sense of security and stability, stressing that the armed forces will remain the guarantor of security and stability.
